Description

Evensong to commemorate the Centenary of the birth of Blessed Oscar Romero will take place on Saturday 23rd September at 3.00 pm.

A Reflection on Oscar Romero's cherished final words 'The hope that inspires Christians', Evensong will include chosen readings and music reflecting this special centenary and an Address from the Most Revd & Rt Hon Lord Williams of Oystermouth. Co-sponsors for the service include the Archbishop Romero Trust, Churches Together in England, Christian Aid and the CAFOD. It is expected that HE The Ambassador of El Salvador will attend.

To apply for up to six free tickets online, click on REGISTER above. Having done so, on the right of the first screen, click on GENERAL ADMISSION, choose to apply for your tickets giving the information requested, then click on CHECKOUT next screen. A link to your ticket (s) will be sent to the email address that you enter.

Doors will open at 2.30 pm and members of the congregation are requested to be seated by 2.50 pm.

What is the entrance to use to attend? Enter via the Sanctuary and Great West Door of the Abbey please and you will be directed accordingly.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket(s) to the event? Yes, you will need both your ticket (s) and an official form of photographic identification, such as a passport or driving licence.

What is the dress code? Lounge suit or day dress.is fine, trousers may be worn by ladies.

What time do the doors open? 2.30 pm.

Can I bring a guest? You can apply for up to six tickets.

How long will the Service last? The service will last up to one hour.
