Our 3-day First Aid at Work course is designed to give you the knowledge, practical skills and confidence to respond to a wide range of workplace injuries and medical emergencies.
This course is suitable for people who are required to act as a workplace first aider, particularly in higher-risk environments or workplaces where a more comprehensive level of first aid training is needed.
Across the three days, you will take part in practical activities, demonstrations, discussions and realistic scenarios. The course is designed to build your confidence progressively, giving you plenty of opportunities to practise before assessment.

- The role and responsibilities of a first aider
- Assessing and managing an emergency
- Primary and secondary surveys
- CPR
- Using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- Recovery position
- Choking
- Bleeding, wounds and shock
- Burns and scalds
- Fractures, sprains and strains
- Head and spinal injuries
- Chest injuries
- Eye injuries
- Seizures
- Diabetes
- Asthma
- Anaphylaxis
- Heart attack and angina
- Stroke
- Poisoning
- Minor injuries
- Recognising when further medical assistance is required
Our trainers bring real-world experience into the classroom and focus on helping you understand not only what to do, but why you are doing it.
You can expect a supportive and practical learning environment with plenty of hands-on practice, opportunities to ask questions and realistic scenarios that bring the course content to life.
Assessment takes place throughout the course using practical demonstrations, questioning and other assessment methods required by the qualification.
No previous first aid experience is required.
By the end of the three days, our aim is for you to leave with the skills and confidence to step forward, take control and provide effective first aid when it matters.
