How many times in your neurodivergent life have you been shut down, rejected or laughed at for expressing your interests, hobbies and ideas? For me, this is pretty much a daily occurrence.

Society tries to quiet us. If we hyperfixate on a certain topic, we’re labelled as ‘intense’ and ‘obsessive’. If we show our excitement, we’re labelled as ‘too much’. If we answer a question with a detailed answer, we’re labelled as ‘egotistical’.

But in truth, we are none of those things. Neurodivergent brains have unique strengths that neurotypical brains don’t.

Do you have a special interest that you are desperate to brain-dump about? Or a hobby that you wish you could teach someone else? Well in this community, that is welcomed and highly encouraged. This is a safe space to express and celebrate your authentic self.

My hyperfixation is crocheting, so I will be sharing that with you guys and teaching anyone who wants to learn. Maybe you have a hobby you’d like to share, or maybe you’d prefer to yap about a TV show - whatever you are interested in, I am interested in :)
