Hayfield Summer Sunset

Welcome to Freshwalks. This sunset hike event is part of our own vibrant business community programme and everyone is welcome to join us for an evening of hiking and networking in the great outdoors. Feel free to come alone - most Freshwalkers do - and you'll be warmly welcomed or invite a colleague or client along for company.

Route description

We intend to start the walk from Bowden Bridge Car Park (SK22 2LH). The plan is to head past Kinder Reservoir before beginning our ascent of Kinder Scout via Sandy Heys. We’ll then skirt the edges of Kinder Scout, passing Sandy Heys, before taking our evening picnic at Kinder Downfall. We’ll continue our walk onto the highest point of the evening at Kinder Low before beginning our descent back to Hayfield via Edale Rocks where we’ll likely stop for a final refreshments break. Please bring a headtorch.
