This Masterclass will provide an introduction to Environmental Management System ISO 14001:2015 and how it changes when compared to the previous 2004 version.

It will also explain the high level structure based on 'Annex SL' and how this links to other Management Standards like ISO 9001:2015.

Session Content

The Masterclass content will cover:

  • Why the Standard is changing

  • The structure of ISO 14001:2015

  • The main differences between ISO 14001:2004 and ISO 14001:2015

  • The implications of changes for existing Environmental Management Systems

  • The transition arrangements for certification from ISO 14001:2004 to ISO 14001:2015

Who is the masterclass for?

This Masterclass is for all growing SMEs within the Sheffield City Region, as long as the below eligibility criteria is met.

This Masterclass is ideal for those new to environmental management systems and for those with an existing ISO 14001:2004 certification who are looking for an update on the requirements of ISO 14001:2015, and the transition arrangements to the new standard.

Who is leading it?

This Masterclass will be delivered by Karen Holbrook, Technical Manager, ACM Ltd, a qualified Lead Auditor who oversees the complete certification cycle and auditor/technical expert competences.

Karen has over 10 years experience in third party audits (which includes ISO 9001, 14001, 18001, 27001, Marine Equipment Directive (MED) and AQAP 2000 series (NATO requirement), sectors include Manufacturing (Rail & Pyrotechnics), Care (residential) and Service Providers.

Karen fully understands what is needed to achieve ISO Standards. She is on hand to help you manage your certification process in the most efficient and effective way, whether you are new to ISO Standards or looking to build your understanding of the new 9001:2015 version.

One registration per business is permitted. Businesses that register more than one attendee will be contacted and asked to nominate one person to attend.

We are pleased to be able to provide this masterclass free of charge due to funding from the European Regional Development Fund. There are a number of eligibility criteria for attendees which we will check using the online registration questions and in a phone call to every attendee prior to the event.

A/ No. The Masterclass provides delegates with a pack which includes reference information and event slides to help them in the process of implementing and maintaining their ISO certification.

A/ The venue is within the Sheffield local authority area. The venue has a car park and is walkable from Meadowhall South/Tinsley tram stop, and Meadowhall train station and bus interchange.

A/ There are no restrictions to the venue.

Q/ I would like to bring a colleague, is this ok?

A/ No, only one attendee per company is permitted.
