Layers in transit - an immersive creative workshop
Inspired by the current 'nnuts' exhibition at Saan1, this 2-hour creative workshop invites participants to explore journeys of change and movement — not only across places, but across ideas, cultures, art, freedom, and shared humanity.
Guided by Jo Birch and Keemar Keemar, founding creatives of Zero to 50 Collaborative, the session offers a supportive space to reflect, make, and connect.
Working with photos, paper, found materials, text, paint, and simple structural elements, participants will build layered visual works that move between surface and space.
Through cutting, assembling, painting, and reimagining fragments, we will explore how stories travel, how memories are carried, and how creativity can help us express belonging, change, and hope.
This workshop encourages a mindful process of creation, experimentation, and personal interpretation. Whether responding to global journeys or individual experiences of transition, participants are invited to create work that is meaningful to them.
