Lunch with the Parents Circle: with the Guardian's Jonathan Freedland
Wed 10 May 2017, 12:15 – 13:30 BST
Hinde Street Methodist Church and the West London Synagogue invite you to hear the incredible stories of two bereaved parents who promote reconciliation as an alternative to revenge.
In March 2002, Robi Damelin’s son, David, was shot by a Palestinian sniper, he was 28 years old. In January 2007, Bassam Aramin's 10-year-old daughter, Abir, was shot by an Israeli soldier. As a result of their experiences, Robi and Bassam joined The Parents Circle – Families Forum, which is renowned for its work to promote peace and reconciliation between Israelis and Palestinians.
Now, on a rare visit to London, join us at Hinde Street Methodist Church to hear Robi and Bassam speak to an interfaith audience. Food will be served, so please join us in your lunchbreak.
Chaired by Jonathan Freedland, The Guardian.
