THE MUSEUM OF SOHO PRESENTS
A DAY OF CINEMA AND MUSIC
MAKING IT
The Story of London Underground Music
Join The Museum of Soho for a special evening celebrating London’s underground music scene through film, live performance, and conversation at 75 Dean Street in the heart of Soho.
The centrepiece of the evening is the UK premiere of Making It, a new documentary directed by American filmmaker Ben Mohr. Developed over eighteen months between collaborators in the U.S. and the UK, the film explores the realities, struggles, friendships, and ambitions that shape life as an independent musician in London today.
What began as a casual late-night conversation between friends evolved into a powerful portrait of the “everymusician” — artists striving to create, perform, survive, and be heard within one of the world’s most vibrant underground music scenes. Filmed across London venues and performance spaces, Making It captures the raw energy and diversity of the capital’s musical culture through live performances, interviews, and intimate behind-the-scenes moments.
The screening will be accompanied by live performances from:
• Declan Coker & Friends
• Lailana & The Taosol Collective
The event will also feature an introduction from Reece Quick and opening remarks before the screening.
