PLANT-BASED NUTRITION MEDICAL CONFERENCE MARCH 23RD, LONDON: The first UK conference to focus on the role of plant-based nutrition in the prevention and treatment of lifestyle-related diseases. It is the first event to be organised by Plant-based Health Professionals UK, a group whose mission is to provide evidence-based nutrition education to health professionals in the UK. The conference will be delivered by several UK-based health professionals who will share their knowledge and expertise on how plant-based nutrition can be used as an adjunct to conventional medicine to get to the root cause of diseases and enhance treatment responses. The topics to be covered include cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer, post-reproductive health in women, inflammatory bowel disease and the impact on public health. The conference is aimed at health professionals but the general public are warmly welcomed. There will be plenty of time dedicated to discussion with the audience. Lunch and refreshments are included. The Royal College of Physicians have awarded 6 CPD points.
