Hackney Council has drafted a new Retrofit Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) to support more sustainable, energy-efficient development across the borough.
This SPD provides guidance on how to retrofit existing buildings — including insulation, glazing, ventilation, heat pumps, and other improvements — in a way that aligns with planning policy.
The session will include:
- A short presentation by Council officers
- An overview of the new Retrofit SPD
- How to respond to the consultation
- A live Q&A session
This session is open to residents, landlords, architects, businesses and anyone with an interest in sustainable buildings.
