A rare opportunity to search for Orchids on Huntingdon race course, an orchid site not often open to the public. An exciting walk which will be led by Pat Doody will be on Huntingdon Racecourse to look for rare, elusive and different types of native orchids that can be found within Huntingdonshire.

People should drive to the racecourse entrance (past the Holiday Inn). Pat Doody will be there and will sign people in. We will either park in the members entrance, immediately on the left or go to the offices behind the stand.

Please note it may be muddy, so please wear suitable footwear

The Huntingdonshire History Festival is registered charity, run solely by volunteers. We are hoping to make the local history of where people live and work accessible and raise awareness of the fascinating heritage of the old county of Huntingdonshire. The Huntingdonshire History Festival is a month long programme of events that takes place each July, including talks, tours, family activities, exhibitions, historical reenactments and concerts that celebrate the story of Huntingdonshire.
