Windmill Community CentreDeddington, England
Tuesday, Feb 3, 2026 from 2 pm to 4 pm GMT
Overview

Free information session ideal for people who are newly diagnosed with dementia, or who are in the early stages. (2 part event)

Part one: Tuesday 3rd February 2pm - 4pm

Part two: Tuesday 10th February 2pm - 4pm

It is best to come to both sessions, but we understand if that's not possible.

PLEASE BOOK A SPACE FOR EVERYONE WHO IS COMING ALONG.

What do the sessions offer?

We understand that receiving a dementia diagnosis can be upsetting and overwhelming, but with the right knowledge and understanding, people living with dementia and and their families can live well.

These sessions are designed to help you adjust, navigate services, and plan positively for the future. We talk openly in a supportive, safe group and learn about living well.

These sessions will help you to:

  • Understand what dementia is and how it feels to be living with it
  • Enable independence for as long as possible
  • Empower you to have open, supportive conversations
  • Enable people with dementia to play an active role in planning for their future

These sessions are designed and produced alongside people living with dementia. This helps us make sure they are as relevant and helpful as possible, as well as giving you the opportunity to hear from people that have been in a similar situation.

"We found the session both interesting and informative and from a caring point of view, for my daughter and I to listen to other people living with dementia describing how they approach and deal so positively with dementia was certainly worthwhile learning for us."
