Technical Training: Video (Intermediate)

Join Sony UK for an exceptional event series for photographers, videographers and creatives at EDITION London Hotel, in Fitzrovia, London. Sony Creators Week from 23-26 July 2026 is filled with over 15 workshops across photography and video led by industry experts and Sony Ambassadors. Experience the latest range of Sony Cameras and Lenses to try.

Session Overview

Interested to upskill your video technical knowledge for Sony Cameras? XAVC S vs HS? When to use an external monitor recorder? Jump in on a Technical Training with a Sony Specialist as we discover how to get the most out of your Sony Alpha or Cinema Line cameras (excluding Burano and VENICE).

We will extend on the principles of shooting modes on Sony Cameras covered in the Introduction session, explaining the key differences in Cine EI, Flexible ISO and how to approach each shooting mode.

Color bit, codecs and recording (internal vs external) will be explained with a particular focus on Sony Cinema Line models.

We will also cover the practical technical production workflow around managing data, contingency, as well as compare the Sony Cinema Line range to help you identify the model(s) that best suit you.

All levels are welcome with a focus on intermediate users for this session. This is a presentation style event with no camera hands on time allocated. We recommend also registering for our other workshops to extend your experience.
