Storytelling is fundamental to influencing. That’s actually a scientific fact and you’ll learn why in the first 15 minutes of the Mile 91 Storytelling Masterclass! (Clue: it’s about how we behave when our emotions are engaged).

This four-part training programme helps people working for charities and social change organisations to become confident, empathetic, ethical story gatherers.

Our autumn storytelling masterclass starts on Monday 15th September and after four days you will have:

• Insight into the science of storytelling and why stories about people are the most powerful tool for engaging audiences.
• Tools and techniques for identifying impact stories.
• An understanding of the principles of ethical storytelling and the responsibilities of story gatherers.
• Tips for building relationships and planning story gathering activities.
• New confidence and techniques for undertaking amazing interviews.
• Practical guidance on how to write punchy, emotionally engaging stories.
